We took one day and went to Venice and Murano Island. We have both been to Venice before and so the main focus for us this day was to go to Murano Island and hopefully get some good deals on their glass. The first picture is part of the bridge that connects the mainland and Venice.
We went to one of the glass factories and watched them make a few pieces, the pictures did not turn out too well, we could not use a flash and we could not get them to hold still enough without one.






























The shops were filled with beautiful items but the good deals are I think a thing of the past, or perhaps we did not find the right place. We did find a shop later in Venice that had some nice things at a resonable price. We had Vinson with us too and so we took turns in the shops, we were too nervous to take a busy one year old in there.












We took the boat over to Venice and stopped at St Mark's Square. We let Vinson feed the pigeons, and then we did a little shopping and took the boat back to the train station. I think we could have walked there as quickly but there are many stairs and little bridges over the canals and we had the stroller. It does get heavy lifting it up with Vinson in it after awhile.. but it is so much better than carrying him. It was another gorgeous day!!!
